The BRAIN BATTLE QUIZ (BBQ), an edutainment production of The Cocktail and Prolife Multimedia GH, hits the screens in Ghana from June 2018. This innovative three round inter-basic schools’ competitions promises to deliver the most exciting, nail biting, adrenaline stimulating and brain-racking national quiz competition of all time. It promises to take edutainment (a fusion of entertainment and education) to a whole new unprecedented level. In an interview with the Programmes Manager of Pro-life Multimedia GH,(who also happens to be the regular host of Starr FMs Health and Wellness Show every Saturday morning between 6:50am and 7:30am), the BRAIN BATTLE QUIZ (BBQ) will test students’ knowledge in Science, Maths, General Knowledge and Current Affairs and will use simple innovative tools to generate excitement for these competitions. The pilot competitions the BRAIN BATTLE QUIZ (BBQ) concept recorded at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Parish Hall, attracted over 400 students which generated intense excitements as the private schools battled for supremacy.
Among the many tantalizing prize packages for the competition is an additional special prize package of a trip to the U.S.A, CANADA, CHINA and GERMANY for the contestants of the winning school.
The Programmes Manager of Prolife indicated the registration is by the “Club 100 subscription” system developed by Prolife which requires all interested schools to simply make arrangements for 100 pupils to subscribe for only one edition of THE COCKTAIL MAGAZINE to guarantee the school a free participation in the BRAIN BATTLE QUIZ (BBQ). Thus all interested schools are to contact the Prolife offices to register for their participation in the quiz by arranging for delivery of copies of THE COCKAIL MAGAZINE to their schools as soon as possible to avoid disappointment since there will be no late registrations. The BRAIN BATTLE QUIZ (BBQ) is a Cocktail and Prolife Multimedia GH 2018 production under the auspices of the Ghana Educations Service, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation.

Mr. Charles Noah, an ‘OLD TOM’ and the C.E.O of Superior Logistics and Container Services Limited has pledged so invest in the school’s 2018 campaign to win the ultimate prize of the National Science and Math Quiz competition. He made this known when he presented an amount of GHc500 to the two contestants of St. Thomas Aquinas SHS who brought honour to the school by placing second in the 2017 edition of the competition. He admitted that the school’s sterling performance in the competition caught his attention and drew him to support his almer mater. He urged the teachers and the administration to sustain the hard work and promised to provide necessary motivation in cash and kind for the teachers and selected students who will be preparing to represent the school in the 2018 edition of the competition.
